Dhamma Sūriyārāma, the second Vipassana meditation centre in France, was acquired in October 2025. It is located in the commune of Labroquère in the Haute-Garonne department, about an hour's drive from Toulouse. 

Dhamma Sūriyārāma is set on a mountainside, so the site has very steep slopes between one area and another: meditation hall, dining rooms, dormitories. The walking areas are on a slope as well. These features can be difficult for people with reduced mobility, who are frail or easily tired, who have heart or breathing problems, who have been injured recently, and so on. If this is your situation, we invite you to carefully weigh the effort needed to move around the centre, and to favour registering at Dhamma Mahī, which is on flat ground and offers better accessibility.

Dhamma Sūriyārāma will initially be able to accommodate 80 students and 15 volunteers, with a total floor space of 2,200 m² spread over five buildings on 21 hectares of land. 

The first courses are scheduled for september 2026. In the early years, until the buildings’ insulation has been improved, courses will only take place during the warmer months (from around April to October). The months when no classes are scheduled will be used to carry out the necessary work to improve insulation and complete the centre’s facilities.
