From the North (Lyon):
Follow the Rhône Valley down to Chanas (exit 12 of the A7), then follow signs for Annonay (D820). In Annonay, take D121 towards Le Puy-en-Velay / Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid / Saint-Agrève. Drive through Devesset and continue on D9 towards Saint-Agrève for 2.5 km. A sign on the right indicates “Le Village du Lac”.
From the South (Marseille):
- Winding road option: Drive up the Rhône Valley to Valence Sud (exit 17 of the A7), then follow signs to Le Puy-en-Velay. Continue on D21 to Saint-Agrève. From Saint-Agrève, take D9 towards Devesset / Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid. Continue for 6.3 km. The Village du Lac is on the left (note: the sign is not easily visible from this direction).
- Very winding road option: Take exit 16 (Loriol) on the A7, head towards La Voulte (D86), then left towards Le Cheylard / Lamastre via D120. After 4 km, turn right onto D21 towards Vernoux en Vivarais / Saint-Agrève. At Saint-Agrève, take D9 to Devesset / Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid for 6.3 km. The Village du Lac is on the left (sign not clearly visible from this direction).
From the East (Valence, Drôme Valley):
Go to Valence, then follow signs for Le Puy-en-Velay, continuing on D21 to Saint-Agrève. From there, take D9 towards Devesset / Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid for 6.3 km. The Village du Lac is on the left.
From the North-West (Clermont-Ferrand, Saint-Étienne):
Go to Saint-Étienne, then follow the road to Saint-Agrève. Drive through Devesset, and continue on D9 for 2.5 km towards Saint-Agrève. A sign on the right indicates “Le Village du Lac”.
From the South-West (Le Puy-en-Velay):
From Le Puy-en-Velay, take the road to Saint-Agrève (D15 then D120). At the entrance of Saint-Agrève, turn left towards Devesset / Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid via D27. At L’Aulagnier, turn left onto D9, then continue for 1 km. The Village du Lac is on the left (sign not visible from this direction).
By Public Transport
From Tournon-sur-Rhône: Line E05 bus (stop: Saint-Agrève – Collège)
From Saint-Étienne: Line H37 bus (stop: Saint-Agrève – Collège Louis Jouvet)
From Valence to Tournon-sur-Rhône:
- Take bus E03 or
- Take a TER train to Tain l’Hermitage – Tournon, then walk 15 minutes to Tournon-sur-Rhône bus station (cross the river).
From Saint-Agrève : it is possible to walk to the Village du Lac via the GR7/GR420 trail (see Google Maps walking directions). The walk is about 5.3 km and takes approximately 1h10.
Pickup by car from Saint-Agrève center bus stop can be arranged if requested in advance.
